This site doesn’t use cookies or analytics, and it has no forms. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run and protect the site.
The installer
When you run the BarePOS installer, it sends your licence key, the till name you typed (if any) and the word “windows” to OpDesk, to check your licence and give the installer a short-lived download link. OpDesk keeps a record that the key was used to install, and nothing else.
BarePOS on your PC
Your sales, stock, menu and staff details are stored on your own PC and are never sent to OpDesk. To keep your licence active, BarePOS checks in with OpDesk now and then, sending your licence key, an anonymous identifier for this installation, the BarePOS version, and how many tills and staff accounts you use.
